Don’t Shear

Shearing trees and shrubs is okay for hedges and real topiary, but wrong in most landscape situations.  It is, in fact, the most common form of mal-pruning that PlantAmnesty seeks to halt.

Shearing causes the messy watersprout reboud effect, it slowly kills plants and it is a high maintenance practice to boot.
