Mark Guthrie, Landscape Water Efficiency Program Manager with the Saving Water Partnership, is here to help! Mark will address how drip irrigation fits in with other methods of watering, outline why it’s an important watering method, explain how it functions, and provide tips for you – the professionals – who want to design, install, and maintain drip irrigation systems for your customers. Whether you are a future drip irrigation designer or just want to fill in the knowledge gaps, this night is for you!
Mark Guthrie is the Landscape Water Efficiency Program Manager for the Saving Water Partnership. He has over 20 years of experience combining soil science, horticulture, botany, irrigation engineering, water policy, and behavioral science into a career that assists water utilities with water conservation programs as an alternative source of water supply. He is a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor with the Irrigation Association, and an ecoPRO Certified Sustainable Landscape Professional. He is also a technical committee member of this certification. Mark was born and raised in Washington. He received his undergraduate degree from Utah State University in Environmental Studies with a minor in economics, and a graduate degree in horticulture from the same school. Mark lives in Sumner, WA with his wife and three kids and enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and doing anything with his family! And of course, he loves inspiring plants and landscapes too!

Please bring your favorite potluck dish; homecooked or store-bought, we won’t judge!
Doors open at 6:30 pm, so come early to share in the potluck and be ready for our program at 7 pm. We will start with a lively auction of some great plants and gardening-related items, moving on to our presentation at roughly 7:20.
If you are a PlantAmnesty member there is no entry fee. Bring a friend! Non-members’ entry fee is $10.
