West Seattle Adopt-A-Plant (Multiple Plants)
Photo 1: A dwarf arctic babe nectarine tree (from Raintree Nursery https://raintreenursery.com/products/arctic-babe-nectarine-mini-dwarf ). We got six of the best nectarines I've ever had in my life off this one time, but I think it spent too long in a pot before I got it in the ground and also the squirrels keep beating us to the fruit. I think it might do better with more sun. Yardstick included for scale. Should be easy to fit into almost any car - it really is a very small tree! This is in our back yard, which requires no steps to get to and has wheelbarrow access.
Photo 2: Hydrangea! Normally blue, but ages to this beautiful burgundy purple in the fall. She's a big gal right now but can be aggressively pruned back before digging or transporting to make her easier to handle. We've truly never found an amount of pruning that she can't immediately shrug off. This is in our front yard, visible from the road, with easy access for a wheelbarrow.
Photo 3: I believe that this is Scarlet Cinquefoil (Potentilla thurberi). The bees love it when it's in bloom, but it's taking over the bed and I don't love it as much as the bees. Can be pruned back heavily before transport to make it easier to move!
