The evolution of the Cass Turnbull Garden on Capitol Hill has been underway for the past 3+ years. Join Kate Day as she describes how the garden has gradually emerged through partnerships and collaborations that honor Cass’s contribution to the world of horticulture.   Thanks are due to dozens of volunteer hours preparing the site for development, devoted volunteers working on the design and initial planning documents, the coordination with the City of Seattle Parks Department, and lastly, the faculty and students from Edmonds College Horticulture Program and the University of Washington Landscape Architecture Program working on design details and construction documents. The Garden is far from being completed, but work is progressing rapidly.  If you have not yet visited the space, you will certainly want to stop by after our MOLM.
