Meeting of Like Minds — Sara Shores: Brockman Memorial Tree Tour
August 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pmFree – $10.00
Have you visited the Cork Oak (Quercus suber) on the University of Washington Campus?
Join Sara Shores, an Urban Forest Specialist with the UW, for a virtual Brockman Memorial Tree Tour through the campus. Learn the histories and intriguing facts about some very special trees.
We are opening the doors at the Center for Urban Horticulture for this event. Please join us! Members and non-members are welcome, with pre-registration encouraged.
As with our virtual MOLMs, there is a small fee for non-members.
The evening will start with drinks and an opportunity to socialize, with doors opening at 6:45. We will hold a short Zoom auction for garden- and plant-related items prior to our presentation. Auction items will be listed here as they are identified.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to allow us to predict the number of attendees. Pre-registration will end at 5:00 pm on the evening of the event. We will permit walk-ins at the CUH, depending on the anticipated number of attendees. We will require proof of COVID vaccination at the door and encourage the use of masks when distancing is not feasible. We plan to keep the courtyard doors off the MOLM room open throughout the evening to maximize airflow.
We wish to thank the Heritage Trees Committee for their involvement in bringing you this exceptional evening.
