Meeting of Like Minds — Jodi Keyes: Commercial Property Landscape Management: Challenges and Solutions
April 19, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm PDT
Free – $10.00Due to overwhelmingly pro-Zoom responses from our community, we are transitioning our Meeting of Like Minds for April 19 to a Zoom event.
We are in the process of reformatting our automated registration emails to contain the Zoom link, so we encourage you to wait until after 1 pm (Pacific) to register.
If you have already registered for the in person event, you will be sent an email with the Zoom link.
Thank you for your understanding as we cautiously navigate this stage of dealing with COVID.
Managing Commercial Property Landscapes
What unexpected challenges might be encountered when working in an urban arboretum that is installed inside a building? What about rooftop gardens? How about maintaining landscapes that are surrounded by concrete? How do the different conditions affect plant selection, installation, and maintenance? Join us for a presentation and discussion from a Jodi Keyes, who worked for more than 25 years in challenging environments for plants.
Online ticket sales will end at 7:00 pm on the evening of the event. We will hold a Zoom auction for select items prior to our presentation. We encourage members and non members to join us online.
Jodi Keyes is one of those rare natives to our area! She worked in residential and commercial landscaping for more than 25 years. She has degrees in Business and Horticulture, and her focus is on Commercial Property Landscape Management. Most recently, she worked in commercial landscaping on Class A downtown Seattle and Bellevue properties. She enjoys the abundance of our region: mushroom, medicinal, and edible plant foraging, trail walks, gardening, bird watching, paddle boarding, soapmaking, cooking, and international travel.
We wish to thank the Trees Committee, composed of our dedicated referral arborists, for suggesting the evening’s speaker.
