John Grade Studio Tour: Watch wood be given a new life!
April 30 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm PDT
$75.00
PlantAmnesty invites you to join John Grade, Seattle’s own internationally recognized artist, to learn more about his artwork and tour his studio.
John shares his love for trees through his art installations and is graciously supporting this fundraiser because he believes in PlantAmnesty’s mission and our concern for the urban tree canopy. At his studio, you will see where life-sized trees and root systems are recreated and how wood grain is made to flow through multi-story waterfalls. You will even be able to enjoy Understory in progress now and later walk through the installation on the redesigned Microsoft main campus.
The guided studio tour begins at 1:30. Expect to be overwhelmed by the scope of the work that is being undertaken in this space! After the tour, John will talk about his creative process and answer questions. Throughout the event, except during the tour, you will enjoy drinks, delicious appetizers, and dessert offerings. Please note that one free drink is included with each ticket, and additional drinks will be available for purchase.
Thanks to many generous businesses in the Seattle/Tacoma area, we will be offering many unique and fun donations through a silent auction. The silent auction will be open from 1 pm until 3:30 pm.
