Japanese Pine Pruning Workshop
June 3 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm PDT
$125.00 – $150.00
PlantAmnesty’s Japanese Pine Pruning Workshop will give you hands-on training with experienced instructor on techniques for pruning pines in the Japanese Garden style. Depending on how the spring develops, candling might be included, but scheduling contraints resulted in the workshop date being beyond the ideal candling window. Our primary focus will be on larger scale shaping and training. Expect to be busy learning and practicing throughout the workshop, with a half-hour break for lunch.
Japanese Garden Pruning is a required class for this workshop. Registrants who are not in PlantAmnesty’s records as having taken this class (through PlantAmnesty or the UWBG ProHort program) will be contacted by email for verification and may have their payment refunded. We encourage you to indicate the date(s) on which you took the class in the Additional Information box on the billing page.
Registration is $125/members and $150/nonmembers. Be sure to log in as a member before trying to purchase member tickets.
PlantAmnesty has not offered a Japanese Pine Pruning Workshop in several years, and we expect this to be a very popular workshop. Please send an email to programs@plantamnesty.org to be placed on the waiting list if the workshop is full. We hope to be able to add additional tickets, pending instructor confirmation. We also have volunteer spots available if you would like to help at the workshop and learn by observation.
