Outing to Orting -
Garden Tour and More

Rare Plants!  Views!
Boutique Nurseries!

Saturday, July 9th

Join Cass and your fellow garden fans for
a full day trip down to the beautiful garden
of Emmot and Ione Chase - touted as one
of the ten most beautiful gardens in America!

The Chase Garden is perched on a ridge with
stunning views of the Puyallup River Valley and
Mt Rainier. Docents will lead our tour and then
we'll lunch on the lawn.

In the afternoon, we'll visit nurseries not usually
open to the public where you are sure to
find a few rare plants to bring home.

Garden tour includes: deluxe coach
transportation (with plenty of room for
your gear plus plant purchases), lunch,
entrance fees, and visits to two nurseries,
including the plant enthusiasts at the Old
Goat Farm.

Open to members and their friends. $65.00 per person

Myers' Parcels

From our sister organization -

Should the city sell the undeveloped
Myers Parcels in southeastern West
Seattle or, as advocates have long urged,
keep all or part of the 30+-acre site as
open space:

The Seattle Green Spaces Coalition
has launched an online petition asking
city leaders not to sell the land.
You can sign it here.
