These folks bring goats to your location to eat a wide range of vegetation, such as blackberries, ivy, and other invasive species. Many of the goats at Rent-A-Ruminant are rescue goats and they are part of the family. They receive the best of care and are never slaughtered. When they become unable to remain with the herd, they are retired to good loving homes. Customers of Rent-a-Ruminant include green construction companies, public utilities, universities, schools, park districts and private land owners.

Seven years ago Amish Country Originals started in Snohomish. All our products come from the Amish and Mennonite communities in Holmes County Ohio. The owner, Tom Pentecost lived in Ohio for twenty years where he met his wife LuAnne. LuAnne grew up in Amish country. Seattle Urban Nature

Seattle Urban Nature (SUN) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life in the Puget Sound region by engaging communities to improve urban forests. Our mission is to create tools to empower stewards for healthy urban ecosystems.

SUN was founded in 1998 to survey and map the vegetation and wildlife habitat on Seattle’s public land. These maps and data are available for use and study. As an extension of this work, SUN provides ecological and GIS services to non-profit, public sector, and private organizations in the Puget Sound Region.

Red Step Studio - Handcrafted terracotta tiles

Paula Gill makes her tiles with great attention to detail and quality in a small studio in Bremerton, Washington. Inspired by her garden and its resident birds, squirrels and raccoons Paula uses simple wood carving tools, paintbrushes, a hand operated slab roller and an electric kiln to make her tiles one at a time, giving each her signature of exuberance and deep connection to Nature. Paula's technique with woodcarving tools and her unique style add unrivaled depth, texture and liveliness not replicated by other tile making methods.

Great Plant Picks is an educational awards program committed to building a comprehensive palette of outstanding plants for Pacific Northwest gardens. Awards are based on the combined expertise of over forty horticulturists from Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. Great Plant Picks originates at the Elisabeth Carey Miller Botanical Garden in Seattle, Washington, and provides a forum for sharing horticultural information with the wider gardening community.
