ADOPT-A-PLANT

"you call, you dig, you haul, thats all"

You speak, we listen!  You've overwhelmingly requested that we add our Adopt-A-Plant listings to our website.  So...

Adopt-A-Plant list preview

Updated most every day with new offerings, access to the Adopt-A-Plant list is a PlantAmnesty membership benefit.  Members get first dibs choosing which of these orphans to add to their gardens.  Though anyone may list plants for adoption -- and we hope you will -- the Adopt-A-Plant list is now password protected for members on the website (drum roll please)!

NEW ONLINE ADOPT-A-PLANT LIST!

If you?ve lost or forgotten your password, please email us.  If you?re not a PlantAmnesty member and wish to join now, we?ll supply the password with your new membership packet.  Other membership benefits, you ask?  Indeed!

  • Our quarterly newsletter chock full of pruning tips, interesting stories and other amusements

  • Discounts on classes, workshops, and garden tours

  • Free pruning DVD in English (or video in Spanish)

  • Fun volunteer opportunities with like-minded people

To list your candidates for Adopt-A-Plant, please call PlantAmnesty at 206-783-9813, mailbox 3. Or, better yet, email us at info@plantamnesty.org. To put a plant up for adoption, please leave the following information:

  • Number of plant orphans that need a good home
  • Height and width of each plant
  • Type of plant (plant name, species, your best guess)
  • Other information such as 'pink flowers', 'easy access', or 'needs love'
  • What neighborhood or part of town you live in
  • Your first name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
Adopt-A-Plant is free; there is no charge for giving or receiving.  Shrubs and trees over 10-12 feet tall are most often too big to move privately.  If you have a tree that is a better candidate for removal than for Adopt-A-Plant, the PlantAmnesty Referral Service has names of professional diggers.
